Leadership Style

Having held several senior-level positions in a career that spans more than 18 years, Amit states that a leader can either become a bottleneck or an enabler for a team. An interfering leader acts as a bottleneck in the decision-making process and is unable to tap into the power of the team. In contrast, an enabler is one who creates a high amount of clarity in terms of accountability and creates a culture with high levels of trust and job security.

Amit says, “At Markivis, I am not the Chief Executive Officer but the ‘Chief Enablement Officer’ who enables the team to deliver value to our customers. My position is at the bottom of the organizational hierarchy, where I am the guiding force that gives the team what it needs to get the job done and reminds them of the higher purpose they are serving.”
